What you've all been waiting for...

Here he is! Aram Isaac was born on July 10th at 2:55am via cesarean section. Quite unexpectedly, Aram's little melon head did not fit into the birth canal and after much labor and dilation all the way to 9cm, the doctor's determined that he wasn't going to be able to come out that way. He was never in distress though, which is great. He was 8 lbs, 15.6 oz, 20 1/2 inches long, and had a horrible cone head when he emerged into the world. Amazingly, there is not even a trace of his cone head only 3.5 days later. He is beautiful ( and I'm not just biased:)) and Peter and I love him to pieces. I'm attaching a few token photos from the last few days for your enjoyment.
Thank you all for your prayers, as they were much needed and felt. We love you all!

Aram will be here soon!

Just a quick update. We are scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning at 9am. My doctor is concerned about the size of the baby, as he's already roughly 8lbs 4oz. She knows I absolutely don't want a c-section, so she wants to start things so that I can deliver naturally. She will break my water at 9am tomorrow and she is hoping that labor will start on it's own so that I don't even have to have pitocin IV. We'll keep everyone posted, but Aram should be here tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.

1 Day and Counting!

So, baby Aram has not arrived yet. We are busy trying every natural method under the sun in order to induce labor, but to no avail so far. I had an appointment today and am still only 1 cm dilated and ~65% effaced. I will keep this blog updated as soon as we know something, but until then, I've enclosed some pretty photos of the nursery and a picture taken of me today... I'm HUGE!

38 Weeks and Still Pregnant!

Yes, I'm still pregnant. Went to the doctor's today and she said to go home and try some home remedies to get things moving faster. Aram seems to be very content to stay in there though. He sleeps most of the day and just wiggles around when we poke at him... something Peter loves to do! His heartrate is nice and strong and he's ok, but seems to be nice and comfy. Peter and I went for a walk tonight, which just brought on a Braxton Hicks contraction, but anything is better than nothing, right? We will keep the blog posted when things start to happen. Otherwise, you will hear from me next Thursday night after my next appt. My mom arrives on Saturday, so we are hoping to have this baby soon after that!:)

I included this photo cause it shows just how finicky Aram is. Originally, I had the laptop resting lightly on my stomach, but he began kicking it so much that I had to move it.

36 Weeks... and 1 cm dilated!

So, I haven't updated in a while. I've been super busy at work and getting ever bigger and more uncomfortable as time goes by, especially in this crazy Florida-like weather here in Central New Yrok. My tailbone has healed nicely and the Lord continues to bless us as we seek Him to be the best parents we can be. The nursery is beautiful after having three baby showers over the last few weeks. It is full of beautiful clothing, accessories and furniture. I'm so thankful for the friends and family who showered us with beautiful gifts. Aram has more clothes than he can actually wear before he grows out of them.I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I'm already 1 cm dilated and rather large for being 36 weeks. I had another sonogram, as my doctor wanted to see the size of the baby. Aram is roughly 6 lbs, 8 oz already, but my doctor said that I probably will have this baby early. Let's hope, cause all I need is a 10 lb kid! I haven't had any braxton hicks yet, so things should be fine until my mom arrives next Saturday. I have one more important day at work, and then I can take it easy.
I can't even express what I feel right now about being a mom. It's scary and exciting all at the same time. Will I be a good one? Will I ever sleep again?:) Can I handle working and motherhood? We are really fortunate that Peter and I will be able to share the daycare responsibilities. My boss is allowing me to work from 6am-1pm and then Peter will work from 1pm-6pm. Peter is still working on his business, Brain Cramp Design, and continues to be steadily busy. He also works for Media Finishings here in Syracuse and loves working there. Life will be busy, but the time with our child will be well worth it. Two of my sisters are living with us currently, so we will have two live-in babysitters when Peter and I want to get away for some alone time. Thank you God for your divine plan!

So, here are some photos of the baby shower that my sister threw me, some belly shots and some of the nursery. Peter is here putting together the table and chairs with Cheryl's fiance, Bill. Enjoy! I will keep the blog updated from now on with at least weekly updates on Aram's progress!
Love to you all!

29 Weeks and the nursery is almost complete!

So, here I am at 29 weeks along. I've only gained 13 pounds, but, man, do I feel like it's a lot more than that! I had a doctor's appt this week and all is well except for some anemia. So now I'm on serious iron pills along with my prenatal vitamin AND cold meds for a severe cold my sister was so kind to share with me. Other than that, I feel good. My tailbone is still healing, but at least I can sit for a little while. I put together the crib this weekend and there is only a little bit more I have to do to finish the nursery. The big pile of baby stuff will eventually be put in the closet once I put the shelves in and the nursery chair I registered for at Pottery Barn Kids will go right there. Other than that, we have some wall hangings and I picked out a rug to go down. My sewing bookshelf will go up in the attic once all the other things are done, leaving a little space for walking. Its a small room, but perfect for our little one. I registered at PBK as well as BabiesRUs recently, so that was fun. My church is planning a shower in May as well, so it will be party month!
Aram is kicking my bladder right now, so I must go, but hope you enjoy the updates.

It's a Boy! 28 Weeks

Well, we had an adventurous week last week. I bent over and sneezed on Monday and heard a "pop" and then couldn't sit down (and still can't a week and a half later). The baby was pretty quiet on Tuesday morning, so I got concerned and called the doctor and they insisted that I go to St. Joseph's Labor and Delivery Triage. Well, of course, as soon as they hooked me up to the fetal heart monitor, the baby went CRAZY! He hates any vibration whatsoever, so was moving around and kicking the monitor for 2.5 hours. Luckily the baby was fine, and I just have a cracked tailbone (which is beginning to heal nicely.) When all was said and done, we got another ultrasound out of the deal and found out that it's a boy. Aram Isaac will arrive at the end of June/ beginning of July! I'm feeling crazy huge at this point and have noticed that my ankles are swollen, Oh Joy! At least the weather is nice now and I'm busy working outside, since I can't get comfortable in a chair to sit and relax anyway. Looking forward to my upcoming shower and am busy sending out invites. Hope to see you all there! Here I am at 27 weeks along and then here I am putting the invites together this week.
